- II. Protocol Switching
-
- Some services are being installed on the Minitel Kiosk which utilize
- only TTY, or "scrolling ASCII," protocol. Also, some gateways are
- being installed which use the TTY protocol. For this reason,
- Minitel/PC now includes the ability to switch from Minitel protocol to
- TTY protocol.
-
- To switch from Minitel to TTY, type
-
- <Esc>:1}
-
- that is, press the "Escape" key, then the "colon" key, then the "1" key
- above the main keyboard, then the "}" key. This sequence will place
- Minitel/PC in TTY mode.
-
- To switch from TTY to Minitel, type
-
- <Esc>[?{
-
- that is, press the "Escape" key, then the "[" key, then the "?" key,
- then the "{" key. This sequence will place Minitel/PC in Minitel mode.
-
- You may assign the above sequences to a [Shift-Fn] key by inserting the
- proper parameter in the "mt.cfg" file (see sections 4.4 and C.5 in
- "mt.doc").
